The kind of love only a true college football fan can understand, the love of a 17- or 18-year-old kid who committed to your alma mater, a kid who can run a 40-yard dash in 4.4, whose vertical goes past 38 inches, who stands 6'5" and can pull down a fade like an NBA All-Star rebounding against 7-year-olds. It's coming up on football season, and Texas Longhorn fans, more than most, are breathlessly waiting out the long summer so that our Autumn can once again turn to sweet thoughts of a Mythical National Championship. This time we know our wish will be fulfilled.
